Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be played in casinos across the world, or alternatively at your house on your PC, through a web account. The regulations are very simple and consist of the player trying to get the best assemblage of cards possible in order to win money. On this account it’s much the same as a regular game of poker, minus the line of contact with other players. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, like bluffing, will be useless here.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the bettor puts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or money) into the video poker machine and presses the deal button. A hand of 5 cards will then be "distributed" on the screen.
The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers should now decide which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the bettor would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they want, whether it’s all or none.
After the player has chosen which cards he wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards are handed out if desired. The round is now finished, with the Video Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.
Generally, the lowest succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the payout schedule can vary from game to game, so that experienced players are agile enough to choose the most profitable machine each and every time.
Once the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that might have been won. Further, some styles of the game allow the bettor an opportunity to double their wins, in which case another game is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
