Electronic Poker is a favored game that usually will be wagered on in casinos across the world, or alternatively at home on your PC, using a web account. The game rules are absolutely simple and involve the player attempting to get the highest combination of cards as you can in order to win money. On this account it’s very similar as a normal game of poker, minus the involvement with other players. Of course, techniques used in a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.
The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and presses the play button. A hand of five cards will then be electronically ‘given out’ on the video screen.
The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and bettors should now decide which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the bettor wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, from all to none.
After the gambler has decided on which cards he or she would like to keep, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards are needed they will be handed out. The hand is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the payment schedule.
Generally, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can change from machine to machine, so that experienced gamblers are able to select the most profitable machine each and every time.
As soon as the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that has been won. Additionally, several versions of the game allow the player a chance to increase their wins, in which case another hand is played. There are also variations among individual machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
